This eraser commemorates one of the most important communist writings, which was written long before the founding of the GDR. The first volume of the main work of the communist philosopher and theorist Karl Marx was published in 1867: "Das Kapital". It contains a detailed analysis and critique of capitalist society and has been part of UNESCO's World Documentary Heritage since 2013. The other two volumes were completed after Marx's death on the basis of his manuscripts by his friend and companion Friedrich Engels.
